Kickboxing- WAMA WESTON WARRIORS

Kickboxing refers to a group of martial arts and stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate, Muay Thai and western boxing. Kickboxing is often practiced for
self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport.

Kickboxing not only helps improve physical fitness it can also help the development of certain mental skills, including confidence, determination, patience and focus.

Improve mental health, including - confidence, determination, patience, focus, teamwork, discipline and respect. Physically martial arts helps with self defense, fitness, increase coordination, aid weight loss, tone muscles, improve energy levels, and improve posture.

Whether you're new to fitness or a long-time gym user, undertaking a kickboxing workout at least once per week can help you feel re-energized. The physical benefits that stem from activities including running, push-ups, sit-ups, star jumps punching and kicking either a heavy bag or focus mitts will not only make you stronger, they will also improve your endurance, making you go for longer. This will in turn assist you in other aspects of your life that include any type of physical activity.

Junior Lessons
The lessons are split into three lessons 'Mini Ninjas, Junior and Adults' this allows the students to progress onto more difficult moves and techniques whilst being comfortable in their environment. Our training includes fitness drills and skills, and a fully structured syllabus for grading work to focus on achieving set goals. Partaking in contact sparring is not a must and down to the individual when they are ready to do so. We have members who just train for fitness and do not wish to compete so refrain from contact sparring. Classes are structured around grading seminars and official competitions are available providing nationally and internationally recognized awards, many of our members have become national and world champions – your child could be the next word champ.
